Philippine Software Industry Goals (2017-2022)

At last year’s Software Conference, PSIA president Jonathan De Luzuriaga said, “We’re looking at increasing our global market share from the current 12% to about 15%.”

As the PH software industry seeks a bigger share of IT outsourcing services, the country should focus on developing its homegrown talents and “techno-preneurs” to raise the level of its information technology sector to further push the Philippines into new areas of software services like Robotics Process Automation (RPA), and Artificial Intelligence” said Mr. De Luzuriaga. He is so optimistic that the industry will continue to grow, especially as Internet of things will lead the convergence of hardware, software, and services.

While we have entered the age of outsourcing, this has immensely helped the Philippine software industry to grow and be known. In the local scene, digital transformation is currently a priority in Philippine organizations especially those in manufacturing and healthcare sectors.
